Wine
Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Riesling is fittingly named. It is grown in a single vineyard in Frankland River, one of the most isolated wine regions in the world.
First planted to Riesling in 1988, the vines are organically grown at an altitude of 250 metres, in duplex soils of ironstone gravel over clay. The handpicked fruit is pressed and settled in tank overnight.
It is then racked and fermented at a low temperature for eight weeks in stainless steel tanks. After six months on lees, the wine is blended with a small oak fermented parcel to add texture to the finished wine.
Bright light yellow, Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Riesling has intense citrus flavours, crisp acidity and a long, dry finish. Powerful yet elegant. Cellaring potential is seven years.
